Sheldon graduated from the University of the Fraser Valley in 2021 with a Bachelor’s Degree of Kinesiology, and an Extended Minor in Psychology. He is now a Practicing Kinesiologist with the BCAK.
Sheldon comes from a sports, specifically hockey, background. This passion for sports and physical activity is what initially interested him in pursuing a degree in Kinesiology. While learning about injury rehabilitation and prevention in school, Sheldon was able to reflect on some of his own hockey injuries and think of ways that they could have been managed better. Now Sheldon uses this knowledge and lived experience to help people bounce back from injury more effectively and efficiently than he was able to, or better yet to avoid these injuries from occurring in the first place.
Outside of work, you can find Sheldon at the gym, playing hockey, playing guitar, golfing, or hanging out with friends and family. In the future, Sheldon plans to continue helping as many people as possible as a kinesiologist, to always be teaching and always be learning along the way. Regarding further education, Sheldon is considering a Masters in Occupational Therapy.
